Ashlynn Heinrich is currently enrolled in the Master of Library & Information Science at Western University. She received her Bachelor of Arts, Honours in English Language & Literature from Queen’s University in 2020, where she predominantly studied Medieval English literature, and Indigenous literatures of Turtle Island. Ashlynn has career aspirations in public and academic librarianship, and is focusing her studies and research on centering queerness and disability in librarianship. She is an active member of the student community at Western’s Faculty of Information & Media Studies; she has held multiple executive positions on the MLIS Student Council, including chair, and is the current content manager for Western’s student chapter of the Canadian Association of Professional Academic Librarians. Her experience in creating and managing digital media ranges from structuring and designing websites, to producing and editing a reader’s advisory podcast for her local library.
